Marvel’s latest superhero release, Black Panther, has generated approximately a gross of $1 billion just in the 26th day of its release, according to the BBC.
Chadwick Boseman stars as the leading claw hero, and the story follows Boesman’s character, T’Challa (aka Black Panther), and his fictional world, where the African nation has the worlds most advanced technology, is challenged by the antagonistic stranger, Erik Killmonger.

Out of all the Marvel movies that have been released, both Avengers movies released in 2012 and 2015, have roughly made £40 million. However, Black Panther has surpassed these box office grosses, making roughly £794 million ($1bn), and approximately £173 million, just in its opening weekend.
Deadpool, featuring lead actor Ryan Reynolds, held the last Marvel box office record, generating $152 million in the opening weekend in 2016.
Director Ryan Coogler thanked fans by posting a message on Instagram;
“It still humbles me to think that people care enough to spend their money and time watching our film,”, Coogler states.
“For the people who bought out theaters, who posted on social about how lit the film would be, bragged about our awesome cast, picked out outfits to wear, and who stood in line in theaters all over the world – all before seeing the film.

“To the press who wrote about the film for folks who hadn’t yet seen it, and encouraged audiences to come out.
“And to the young ones, who came out with their parents, with their mentors, and with their friends, thank you for giving our team of filmmakers the greatest gift.”
The movie has received an enormous amount of praise, even from Michelle Obama;
Congrats to the entire #blackpanther team! Because of you, young people will finally see superheroes that look like them on the big screen. I loved this movie and I know it will inspire people of all backgrounds to dig deep and find the courage to be heroes of their own stories.
